What is Beyond Conference…
The Beyond Conference started in 2017, when a group of Families and NextGen Pastors in Western Australia came together with a heart to grow in how we disciple the next generation. Inspiring and equipping leaders who serve in Kids, Youth, Young Adults and Family Ministries.
We seek to go BEYOND what we’ve done before, BEYOND the Sunday morning programs, and Beyond our own understanding as we look to God for how we reach, raise and empower disciples in the next generations. That our kids and youth may grow deep roots, and a lasting faith.
In 2025 we’re partnering with Amplify Conference, uniting over our common cause and working together to broaden our impact across Australia. The same great feel of coming together connecting and encouraging one another, with the added value of world class speakers both in person and via video.
Beyond 2025
We can't wait to bring to you the Beyond Conference 2025 in partnership with Amplify.
The theme this year is Forging Faith: Faith is not static—it is continually being shaped, refined, and strengthened through life’s challenges, experiences and relationships. A craftsman uses fire, tools and time to forge metal into something that is strong, enduring and purposeful. While it is the Holy Spirit that enables faith, it is forged through intentional discipleship, supportive community and trust in God. This was Paul’s heart for the Galatian church when he ‘longed to see Christ formed’ in them.’ (4:19). This is our heart for the next generation.
Get ready to broaden your vision, to be inspired, and to connect with other like minded people from all over the state as we go beyond, for Him.
Who?
All Kids, Youth and Family ministry pastors, NextGen leaders, volunteers, chaplains, and teachers. We can all get something out of going beyond.

Friday - Beyond Leadership day.
This is a chance to gather around the round tables, connect with other like minded leaders, be inspired and grow in your capacity to lead.
Saturday - Beyond and Amplify unite
This day will have a mix of both in person speakers and workshops hosted by our team with world class leaders via video. We will start off together for a time of worship and learning from our guest speaker, we’ll split into the 2 streams Kids/ Families and Youth/ Young Adults, and we’ll have opportunities to choose from 8 different electives. Plus awesome opportunities to connect, share and encourage one another.
What are the details?
Keynote Speakers
Andy and Christie Kirk have three children, and they live on the Gold Coast, Australia. Andy is the Global Kids Ambassador for OneHope and also serves as the National Leader of Children’s Ministry for the ACC (Australian Christian Churches).
Andy has been innovating and changing the landscape of Family Ministry for the last 20 years. From leading locally in churches, overseeing Multi-site Ministries, and years of Mentoring and Consulting into churches, his experience and knowledge of Kids & Families Ministry is extensive. Both Andy and Christie are passionate about empowering and equipping people to live out all they were created to do by matching people’s potential with God possibilities.

Ainsley Freeman - Children and Families Keynote
Ainsley is a speaker, writer, preacher, marketer and loves a good excel spreadsheet! She channels most of her efforts at Olive Tree Media into the areas of marketing and communications. She authored the book Impress and co-wrote the children’s book “Game Changers, World Shakers and Real-Life Superheroes” with her husband, Jamie. Prior to Olive Tree Media, Ainsley was part of the leadership team of a digital agency, helping small businesses, schools and churches with their online presence. Outside of work, Ainsley was a key part of planting a church which involves everything from setting up chairs, making coffee, caring for people and teaching on a regular basis. She is married to Jamie Freeman with three sons and a dog!
Suzie and Peter Botross have spent over 20 years as Senior Pastors, but in 2020, they launched Generation Jesus (GenJ) – an organisation that equips young adult ministries to multiply wholehearted Jesus-like disciples and disciplers. Their vision is to reverse the decline of Christianity among Australian young adults. Suzie is a dynamic speaker and author of She Will Run, Break Free from Motherly Guilt, and Generation Jesus. Peter’s passion for equipping disciplers led to two doctorates (Doctor of Education and Doctor of Ministry) and 4 books, including Reversing the Decline, ChristianiTeens, Generation Jesus and Defying Death. Married since 1994, they live in Melbourne with their three awesome kids—Luke (23), Jirah (20), and Kanan (17). Suzie and Peter will challenge you, cheer you on, and remind you that being a Jesus-like human is the very reason God created you.
